The Road to Optimal Health
We specialize in Myoskeletal Alignment, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Corporate Chair Massage, and Swedish Massage. Although these modalities are different in certain aspects, they all work to decrease stress, increase circulation, and ultimately realign and balance the body.

Myoskeletal Alignment Technique (MAT)
MAT is for anyone who has chronic pain, muscle and joint imbalances, or repetitive motion injuries. This ever-popular technique involves some lateral recumbent (side-laying) techniques, and can be incorporated easily into a deep tissue massage. MAT includes post-isometric relaxation techniques combined with specific breathing maneuvers to help clear stubborn knots, or trigger points, and restore optimal range of motion (ROM) to muscles. Ultimately, MAT is utilized to create long-lasting relief of chronic neck and back pain and to balance the body as a whole, while restoring pain-free movement.

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)
NMT , also known as trigger point therapy, focuses on specific restrictions in the body and is used for pain relief. It is great for anyone suffering from headaches, low back pain and stiffness, athletic injuries, and repetitive motion injuries. The benefits include increased flexibility and range of motion, balanced muscle tone, increased energy, and better posture.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia. It helps to break up scar tissue, is very therapeutic and corrective.

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is one of the best-known modalities. It is used to effectively release the tension from muscles, improve blood circulation, and produce a general calming and relaxation effect as well as improve muscle flexibility. More general, relaxing strokes are used and can be easily incorporated into a deep tissue session.

Chair Massage
Chair massage generally lasts anywhere from 10-20 minutes and focuses on the back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. This is great for any event or a corporate setting because you stay completely clothed. Chair massage is short and sweet and can be very invigorating to get you through the day.
